Tendinitis is a health condition that occurs when you have swelling or pain of a tendon. Tendon is that leathery cord that affixes muscle to bone. A person with this condition suffers from aching and soreness just outside of a joint. Tendinitis can happen in any of your tendons but is mostly seen in the shoulder, elbow, wrists, knees, and heels.

  • The pain during exercise may also be caused by the wrong technique. Try to seek assistance from a professional trainer on how to do that exercise without any flaws. Improving technique will surely help you to reduce excess strain on your tendons and hence you can avoid Tendinitis.
  • Another important practice to avoid Tendinitis is to do proper stretching before and after exercise. This will help you increase the limit of movement of your joints. This will surely minimize the possibility of repetitive damage.

Some effective home remedies are backed by Ayurveda for treating Tendinitis. Some herbs and spices such as kaishore guggulu, manjistha, musta, guduchi, turmeric etc are very useful for this condition.
  • Sandalwood and Turmeric Paste: Turmeric has an anti-inflammatory property that will help you reduce the effect of Tendinitis. Apply a paste made of turmeric and sandalwood on the affected joint. To make this paste, take the same amount of sandalwood powder and turmeric powder and mix it up with water to form a paste. In case you don’t find sandalwood powder, use salt instead.
  • Herbal Formula: Some great anti-inflammatory herbs can help you in curing Tendinitis. Try the following mixture.
Take 2 parts of Kaishore Guggulu, 2 parts of Musta, 2 parts of Manjistha and 3 parts of Guduchi. Take a quarter teaspoon of this mixture daily 3 times with warm water after a meal.
