Literal translation of Devdaru or Deodar in English is “Wood of Gods”. This herb has amazing properties that are useful in treating neurological disorders. Deodar oil has anti-inflammatory properties and is used in curing arthritis and treating headaches. This herb is also useful in treating skin diseases, fever, asthma, pruritus (uncomfortable itching sensation). It promotes healthy balance in doshas by curing vata doshas like constipation, bloating, paralysis etc. Oral intake in combination with external application of Devdaru paste is found to treat syphilis.

Powder: ¼-½ tsp daily Capsule:1-2 twice daily Oil: 2-5 drops usually mixed with coconut oil for external application Decoction: 50 to 100ml or as prescribed.
