Ananas, commonly known as Pineapple, is a perennial plant of the family Bromeliaceae and is edible. The outermost part of the fruit is a protective shell that protects the fruit inside. Ananas is native to tropical and subtropical America. The plant has 30 to 40 stiff succulent leaves. Ananas fruit generally weighs 1-2kg and is used to eat or some people display the exotic fruit to display at dinner parties. The vitamins and minerals in Ananas may shorten viral and bacterial infections. Additionally, it may help to strengthen bones.
