What is Guggulu?

Therapeutic Guggulu is the oily-sap gum-resin obtained from Guggul tree. This tree is native to South Asian countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The gum is collected from the liquid that oozes out of the tree bark. This process takes several months. Holes are made in the bark of the tree in the months of November to January allowing the aromatic sap to ooze out.
