Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the water in a pot over medium-high heat. Gently crush the cardamom pods to loosen the seeds. Add the cardamom pods while the water is still boiling.
  2. When you have about half the liquid left, add the spices to the water and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the tulsi leaves. Allow the leaves to simmer for another 3-5 minutes before adding milk (optional).
  4. Add the milk, stir, then strain and pour into a cup. You can add honey as needed. Enjoy while it’s hot

Notes

According to Ayurveda, adding honey to hot tea lowers its medicinal effects. It is better to add honey to the tea after it has cooled slightly.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp butter / olive oil
  • 2 ½ cups chopped mushrooms
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp chopped parsley

Method

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon butter (or olive oil) in a large pan over high heat. Add mushroom, salt, and pepper once the butter has melted.
  2. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are completely dry, brown, and begin caramelizing.
  3. Now mix in the balsamic vinegar with the mushrooms & add salt to taste.
  4. Top with freshly cut parsley as a garnish. Serve hot, and enjoy your meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup split moong dāl
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1½ tsp jaggery
  • ¼ cup dried coconut (shredded)
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger,
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped coriander leaves

For Tempering

Method

  1. Rinse the dal thoroughly in clean water. Take a bowl, fill it with water, and add the washed dal.
  2. Take a pan, fill it with water, & add washed dal & cook for around 30 minutes. The dal should be simmered until it is smooth and broken down.
  3. Once the dal is cooked, add salt, jaggery, coconut, and ginger and combine thoroughly.
  4. Cook for another 5 minutes before turning off the heat, covering, and setting aside.
  5. Take a small pan, heat it over a medium flame, then add mustard seeds to temper. When the mustard begins to crackle, toss the curry leaves and turmeric. Now add the dal and combine well.
  6. Add coriander and lemon juice. Enjoy! Serve hot!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp rose petal jam/Gulkand
  • 500 ml boiled and chilled milk
  • 1 tbsp rose syrup

Method

  1. Take a blender and add 500 ml of milk, 2 tbsp of gulkand, and 1 tbsp of rose syrup.
  2. Give it a nice blend until smooth and frothy.
  3. Once done, pour into a glass topped with some ice cubes and scope of ice cream.
  4. Serve chilled and enjoy.

You can also add a tablespoon of soaked sabja seeds (sweet basil seeds).

  • 1 tsp refined coconut oil
  • ½ tsp ghee
  • 10 dried dates and chopped

  • Pinch of Sesame seeds & sea salt as a garnish

Method

  1. Blend the dates and ashwagandha into a paste in a blender or food processor. Make tiny balls using the dough.
  2. Refrigerate for 10 minutes if the dough is too sticky. Once done, grease your palm with ghee and small balls with the mixture.
  3. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Keep stirring regularly.
  4. Use a spoon to dip the date balls into the chocolate sauce to coat. Sprinkle with sea salt and sesame seeds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate to allow the chocolate to cool down and firm. Eat while slightly chilled.

  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • pinch of red food color
  • ghee (for greasing)
  • rose petals (for garnishing)

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup coconut, condensed milk, rose syrup, and cardamom powder. And mix until everything comes together.
  2. Grease your hands with some ghee, then scoop out a little amount of the mixture mentioned above and roll it between your palms to form balls.
  3. Sprinkle some coconut and rose petals on a tray. Roll the balls in the coconut mixture balls to coat them.
  4. They don’t require refrigeration. The coconut laddus are ready to be served.
