What is Gambhari?

Gambhari is a Himalayan tree known for the medicinal properties of its roots. Roots of Gambhari is one of the 10 most medicinal roots called Dashamoola in Ayurveda. Additionally, the fruits and leaves of this tree are also found to have therapeutic properties. Gambhari is used for its anthelmintic, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, anti-aging, hepato-protective, and anti-epileptic properties. The fruits are found to promote intelligence and boost brain functions. It is also used as a Galactagogue (promotes milk secretion in lactating mothers).
